Joe Maloof had his first skateboarding experience with a group of friends in an underground parking garage in Albuquerque, where he grew up. He stepped on a board, zipped down a ramp, struck a drain and flew face-first into the ground.

Wall Street Journal - Brooklyn Banks Are Back in Queens
