The one-of-a-kind skate park, designed by pro skateboarders, will be donated to the City after the event through the NYC Parks & Recreation Department’s “Adopt-a-Park” program.

MMC presents the NYC FREE PREMIER of This Time Tomorrow skate film: FIRST 50 IN ATTENDANCE GET FREE TICKETS TO MMC-NYC. Premier will be a first-come-first-served limited showing at 12:30pm 12:30PM SATURDAY APRIL 17TH 2010 inside Anthology Film Archives 32 2nd Ave, New York, NY 10003Nearly 4 years in the making, This Time Tomorrow is a film themed around the transition from day to night. It features the talent of Devon Connell, Jimmy McDonald, Curtis Rapp, Dave Caddo, Brendan Granstrand and Will Harmon. Almost 9 months were spent abroad, filming in such locales as London, Paris, Lyon, Rome, Berlin, Athens, Venice, Trieste and Montreal. Even so, the majority of the film was shot right here in Philadelphia, a city absent in many of todays video projects and long forgotten by the industry. The United Kingdoms Rory Milanes, Steph Morgan and Lucien Clarke make up nearly half the film and create a strong British presence. Each of their sections were shot in the streets of London, where short days and long nights make the camera light a must. Time was also spent in various other locations along the eastern seaboard including Boston, N.Y.C, Washington D.C. and Miami. Guest appearances in the film include Steve Durante, Brian Douglas, Shaun Williams, John Kroesser, Pat Heid, Jimmy Carr, Daniel Kim, Ricky Geiger, Pat Stiener, Rich Adler and many more. (Irvine, Calif. May 4, 2010) The Maloof Money Cup (www.maloofmoneycup.com) presented by Vans and airing live on FUEL TV this summer announces the 48 pro street skaters who will compete in the first ever MMC New York contest June 5-6 in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, Queens.
Our skater selection committee is made up some of the most respected people in the skateboarding industry. They really had a tough job, said MMC creator Joe Maloof. They set out to put together the best collection of skateboarders to ever enter a contest and I think they did just that. One thing the committee agreed on was that there are too many amazing pros out there, creating a list of 48 skaters was really the key to putting together an unparalleled roster. Besides the big names like P-Rod and Chris Cole, weve got some highly respected skaters like Mike Carroll, Dustin Dollin and Marc Johnson who dont usually skate contests, and some amazing guys who are competing at MMC for the first time like Justin Brock and Anthony Van Engelen. With a group of skaters this talented and diverse, the field is wide open and fans are in store for a spectacular competition June 5-6.

Cory Kennedy of Lake Stevens, Wash., Jimmy Carlin of San Diego and Theotis Beasley of Hawthorne, Calif., top the field of 43 amateur skateboarders who have been invited to compete in the World Industries amateur street contest at the Maloof Money Cup New York on June 6.Maloof Money Cup gives top amateurs the chance to skate some of the best street plazas ever built as they move closer to turning pro.
The Maloof Money Cup New York, presented by Vans, is hosted by Joe and Gavin Maloof, the brothers who own the NBA's Sacramento Kings.
The competition is set for June 5 and 6 at a skate plaza being built in Flushing Meadows Corona Park. In the professional division, top skaters such as Chris Cole and Paul Rodriguez and will compete for the top prize.

Next weekend, June 5-6, the biggest names in street skateboarding will descend on Flushing Meadows Corona Park, Queens, to compete in the worlds greatest skateboarding event for $250,000 in cash and prizes. In addition to the Volcom Street Pro and the World Industries Amateur Championship, the worlds top pro skaters will also compete in the Tech Deck Best Trick contest for their shot at a $10,000 cash prize.

Chris Cole Wins Maloof Money Cup New York 2010, Claims $100,000 Cash Prize for 2nd Straight YearThe first-ever Maloof Money Cup New York, presented by Vans, brought out 25,000 excited skateboard fans who watched as Chris Cole and Paul Rodriguez battled it out in one of the most epic showdowns ever seen. The excitement was palpable as threats of tornados nearly shut down the contest, but the rain held up just long enough for Chris Cole, Torey Pudwill, Paul Rodriguez and Bastien Salabanzi to battle it out in the last section of the finals: the Brooklyn Banks 9-stair rail. In the end it was Chris Cole who claimed the title and the $100,000 prize for the 2nd straight year. P-Rod placed 2nd and took home $40,000 and Torey Pudwill finished third earning him a cool $25,000 plus another $10,000 for his Best Trick win on Saturday.
