Day 8 of the Globe SA your was a demo at Revolution skatepark at Festival Mall and the same day that Haslam and Appleyard flew back to the States. The tour ended up being super awesome and a huge thanks goes to the Maloof Money Cup, Northern Cape Tourism and Globe for bringing them out. Also a big thanks goes to Element, Volcom, Almost, Skull Candy, Red Bull, Revolution, Sailor Jerry, Session, and AV for supporting this tour so much. Here’s to the next 2 pro tours for 2011 and the Maloof Money Cup event in September!
Day 5 of the Globe tour started with a warm up session at Civic. Then we went through to the Durbanville skatepark demo, which was rammed with tons of kids. Haslam tore his pants, so he had to go buy new ones before continuing the demo. After that we went to a wallride spot on table mountain, which was totally insane!

On Day 2 of the Globe tour, we started with a signing at Boogaloos at Canal Walk and also hit up the ledges in the loading bay. From there we went out to Stellenbosch skatepark where Haslam shut down the bowl and Appleyard was doing buttery-ass tricks all over the place. Spent some time out in Stellenbosch afterwards, hit up a secret spot, met some locals and spent the evening chilling at the Protea hotel.

The first day of the Globe tour with Chris Haslam and Mark Appleyard was bad ass. The demo at Sport Unlimited went down at 12 and Appleyard was killing the spine, while Haslam took care of the tech combo business. Hit up Rafikis and a street spot after and ended up at Neighbourhood for the rest of the night. Not a bad start to the tour!

This day we enjoyed the best attendance for our MMC awareness campaign, where we performed demonstrations and introduced skateboarding. We were at times overwhelmed by a crowd of over 2 000 who were to be introduced to skateboarding. We performed a demonstration on our ramp and then went on to giving the many attendees the opportunity to attempt to skate.
The community of Calvania is very blessed to have such a large secure sporting complex within their community. Indigo believes this facility would benefit greatly with the addition of a skate park adjacent to the netball courts, area shown below.
