A most unusual skateboarding event hits the Big Apple this weekend, with a $100,000 top prize at stake.

The Maloof Money Cup, which uses urban obstacles such as stairs, ledges and handrails in a custom-built concrete plaza, will host the world's top 48 street-style skateboarders at Flushing Meadows Park in Queens.
