Chris Cole Wins Maloof Money Cup New York 2010, Claims $100,000 Cash Prize for 2nd Straight Year
The first-ever Maloof Money Cup New York, presented by Vans, brought out 25,000 excited skateboard fans who watched as Chris Cole and Paul Rodriguez battled it out in one of the most epic showdowns ever seen. The excitement was palpable as threats of tornados nearly shut down the contest, but the rain held up just long enough for Chris Cole, Torey Pudwill, Paul Rodriguez and Bastien Salabanzi to battle it out in the last section of the finals: the Brooklyn Banks 9-stair rail. In the end it was Chris Cole who claimed the title and the $100,000 prize for the 2nd straight year. P-Rod placed 2nd and took home $40,000 and Torey Pudwill finished third earning him a cool $25,000 plus another $10,000 for his Best Trick win on Saturday.
