The Northern Cape Tourism leg of the Skateboarding for Hope Tour arrived to a very unique venue at the indoor complex at Sportgronde in Springbok. Several anxious skaters awaited the “Cash for Tricks” jam session, in which several local skaters split R1200 for insane tricks on the Boogaloos course!
Several kids from the surrounding regions were eager to learn the basics of skateboarding from our 3 coaches consisting of Chinner and Kimberley locals DBH and Chris Coertzer. Springbok yielded one of our favorite crowds on the Hope Tour; It’s always great to have a respectful and thankful group of kids, not to mention fast learners! Several of the Springbok locals showed some serious potential on a skateboard. The 25 who showed the most potential were awarded with free Element complete skateboards provided by Boogaloos!

With the best overall consistency and style along with difficulty of tricks including full cab off the box, boardslide shuv down the rail, and switch shuv off the box, Jandre Albertze was awarded the wildcard and a shot to skate the MMC Am on Sept. 28-30!
