Okay, we won’t do you like that, but we will keep it short this week. We will reveal to you that our friend Rudi Jeggle made a trip down to Kimberley from Johannesburg to check out the plaza, shoot some photos, and even donate a few complete skateboards to some of the needy locals. Being the nature-lover that Rudi is, it was no question that a safari was included in the weekend’s agenda. Mokala National Park was our venue for some wildlife fun on Friday morning. Saturday’s photo missions with Rudi included a downtown Kimberley photo mission along with a nighttime street skating mission. We should have some photos of the above mentioned events sometime this week!

Back to the skate plaza: this weekend was full of best trick contests. Friday was our best trick jam on the mini ramp, Saturday was our Cash-for-Tricks jam, and Sunday was the best trick jam on the manual pad. Friday and Sunday’s winners were awarded with cash vouchers for Thando Skate Shop and Saturday’s winners went home with cold, hard cash.
