Diamonds & Dorings Skateboarding Activation at Kimberley Plaza

Written by

Easter weekend in Kimberley brought us some of the worst weather we've seen all year. Friday- rain. Saturday- rain. Sunday- LOTS of wind.

The weather was exceptionally rainy on Saturday which came as a huge disappointment to our locals that were hoping to win a piece of the R10000 cash prize purse that Diamonds & Dorings was providing for the skateboarding competition. The contest was cancelled due to rain, but we didn't let everyone go home with a frown. Diamonds & Dorings was kind enough to sponsor over 20 skateboards for giveaways, so we were able to hook up several of our (mostly underprivileged) local skaters with completes. The Easter Bunny even rolled through to make a cameo and hand out some Easter eggs.

Stay tuned for details on the rain date for the D & D skate competition. With R10000 up for grabs, you won't want to miss it.
