(Irvine, Calif. -- May 31, 2011) The Maloof Money Cup New York (www.maloofmoneycup.com) presented by Vans and airing live on FUEL TV, is almost here. This weekend, June 4-5, the biggest names in street skateboarding will once again descend on Flushing Meadows Corona Park, Queens for a shot at the title and a top prize of $160,000 cash.

(Irvine, Calif. -- May 17, 2011) The Maloof Money Cup (www.maloofmoneycup.com) presented by Vans and airing live on FUEL TV -- announces the roster of pro street skaters who will compete at the first Maloof Money Cup event of 2011 in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park, Queens, New York June 4-5.
Masters Of Street
The Masters of Street Demo will make its second year in a row appearance at the Maloof Money Cup 2011 in New York. The first event completed its debut in Orange County in 2010. Conceived and Produced by Pro skate and Event coordinator Steve Steadham, We are happy to be part of the New York City event. June 4th and 5th 2011.
Sponsored by Independent, Powell-Peralta, Steadham Skate Ind., Bones Wheels, Capital Skateboards, Hollywood Surf Wax, Messiah, S-One Helmets and S-Tech Wheels. The Masters Street Demo will feature Legendary Icons Lance Mountain, Christian Hosoi, Ron Allen, Pat Ngho, Frankie Hill, Eddie Reatigui and More.
A special autograph signing will be held in the Masters of Street Booth in the Festival Village. Come and experience the real deal. This is where street skating originated.

They came from as far as the end of Long Island for a chance at the $1000 prize at the first L.E.S. Long Ollie contest sponsored by the Maloof Money Cup NYC, Vans and 5boro. On a perfect Sunday afternoon in lower manhattan kids started showing up as early at 10am to get in some practice ollies. No thanks to almost every Subway line being delayed or not running on schedule I got literally about 50 texts asking to delay the start. We kicked off at about 2:30pm with 10 boards and people were hurling themselves over them to make it to the next distance.

Due to the overwhelming demand for tickets last year from people outside of the area who were not able to attend local events for ticket giveaways, or who wanted guaranteed seats in advance, we've established affordable online paid ticket options. We're still giving away hundreds of free tickets at our Road to Maloof events and through our New York area skate shops and media partners. 5Boro, Maloof Money Cup and Vans gave skaters a chance to win $1,000 at a long ollie contest today at the LES skate park. The entry gap of 15 decks quickly grew to 21 decks (almost 14′), weeding out the dudes who didn’t have what it takes to pop a $1k ollie. At the end only a few guys were left standing, and eventually Sylvester “Doogie” Eduardo won the cash.
