Towards the end of last year Damd and Africa Skate hosted the first Jam session at Strand Rink.
No prizes, no glory, just a bunch of friends hanging out, skating, chilling and filming
Braai, beers and tricks went down, not to mention the rad street mission after.
Check out the Damd edit !!
So, I’m not much of a long boarder, but I have a serious passion for all board sports!
This short video of a girls boarding crew skating the streets of Madrid, Spain. It got me so hyped to skate, purely because of their insane style and finesse.
Thanks to We-Are-Awesome for posting such an inspiring clip and JUAN RAYOS for all the insane footage and editing!!

Ever since I’ve know Charl he’s been one of the main guys involved with running SonSk8 Stellenbosch.
Over the past 3 years or so, I’ve had the privilege of watching him develop into a super mini-ramp killer and tranny embracer. He’s a great friend of mine, a humble man and skater with natural style and flow – so much flow in fact that if you’re not careful he’ll come and show you how to skate your own ramp!
These are his words.

22 January 2011Canarvon is a small dessert town on the diamond route between Kimberley and Cape Town. Just like most dessert towns, it is vulnerable to flooding and with potential water damage comes good drainage ditches. With all this concrete comes a lot of potential skate spots so we thought it best to stop over and handout 200 skateboards to the towns youths so they may set out to explore their ditches and hopefully call us one day to tell us where to come back and play.
